Culture is made of the story that formed us as a people, the societies response to that story, how they relate to each other through that story, and the tools we have created to perpetuate that story.

According to Colossians 2 there is a culture rooted in Christ that is supposed to shape us, changes us, relate to us, and motivate every part of our lives in the community and home.

Throughout the year, we will explore the big story that we are part of in Christ; what Christ should look like in our society, families, and home, as well as the tools we should use to perpetuate His story. In short we will study and experience KINGDOM CULTURE.

"Speed the Light" (STL) isn't about the physics of light but the greater light of the gospel reaching into all the world until all know. A large, student-led missions ministry of the Assemblies of God that raises funds to provide essential transportation (jeeps, boats, motorbikes) and communication equipment (radio, media) for missionaries worldwide to spread the Gospel.

Founded in 1944, STL empowers young people to support missionaries in reaching remote areas and sharing their message more effectively, making the Great Commission a tangible, student-driven effort.

What Speed the Light Does:

Funds Missions: Students raise money through various activities like fundraisers, challenges, and direct giving.

Equips Missionaries: Funds provide vehicles (cars, boats, even yaks!), media tools, and communication gear.

Fosters Generosity: Creates a culture of missional giving and responsibility among youth.

Global Impact: Supports missionaries in over 180 countries, helping them reach unreached people.

How it Works:

Students Give: Youth groups organize events or students give directly.

Funds Flow: Money goes through state/national offices to the specific missions.

Equipment Provided: Missionaries receive vehicles (like a jeep for the Amazon) or tech to share the Gospel.

In essence, STL helps missionaries "travel faster, preach clearer, and be heard louder" by supplying vital resources, all initiated and supported by students.
